TO CATCH A THIEF
No movie starring both Cary Grant and Grace Kelly can actually be as boring as this one seems to be. Grant plays a retired burglar, evidently a very successful one. Some new scalawag has copped his moves and now it looks as if the police are going to blame him for crimes he didn't even commit. No one cares. The real reason to pay any attention at all to this movie is because Grant and Kelly blast off the screen like a plutonium Super Ball.
However few good points this film might have otherwise earned, it loses them for inspiring the horrid late-1960s TV show "It Takes a Thief," starring Robert Wagner. If you thought "Hart to Hart" was the same crap every week, you should have caught this. It ran for three years and they only had one plot. Amazing.
